A Happy New Year 2023

Updated: Jan 4, 2023

The action has kept going at Speyside Wildlife’s Evening Wildlife Watching Hide. In the last weeks of 2022 we have had the Badgers coming in to feed, as well as Pine Martens and Wood Mice. One surprise we did have was a Blue Tit hopping around the Bird Cherry illuminated by our lights, something I have never seen in the eleven months since I’ve run the hide!

There are three Badgers in this image facing toward the camera. They are surrounded by needle leaf litter and part of a wooden back wall is visible.

There are three Badgers foraging together. The one on the bottom left is licking the peanut butter and eating the peanuts underneath a pushed over a log with a round cross section. The Badger in the middle is feeding on a stash of peanuts underneath this same log. The Badger behind it has its back to the camera.
